Welcome to the Mullane Godley Irish Dance Academy

Whether it is instruction for a new beginner dancer, or preparing a dancer for the World Championships -at MG you will find a hardworking— yet fun atmosphere, from both the teaching staff and the students. MG is one of the best Irish dance schools in the world - not because of all the titles won, but because of what is passed onto the dancers. Long after the trophies have tarnished, and the medals are put away - what remains are friendships that last a lifetime, a sense of family and teamwork, and self esteem that carries with the dancer long after their Irish dance classes are over.

    New Tots and Beginners

We are proud to pass our love of Irish Dancing to your children. For over 30 years, the Mullane family and teaching staff (including world champion John Godley) have always maintained one philosophy - to treat all dancers equally. This in turn instills a sense of confidence in each child we teach. Instruction is always provided in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere that allow each dancer to progress at their own pace.

We truly feel that the Mullane Godley Academy is one of the best Irish dance schools in the world. As dancers progress, they can choose whether they wish to compete or not. Competition is not stressed at MG as we treat all dancers the same. What is stressed are friendships that form in class and last a lifetime, a sense of family and teamwork, and self esteem that carries with the dancer long after their Irish dance classes are over. We love what we do and we share that with our dancers. In turn, they love to dance. Although the Academy has won 7 World titles, we teach all dancers in a relaxed fun recreational setting.

2016 World Champions - Dance Drama

    Glasgow, Scotland

After an amazing World Championship competition in Glasgow, Scotland - with teams from literally all over the world, MG were crowned World Champions. Through the creativity of the teaching staffthe MuGsters were well prepared when they took the stage. The crowd could not stop from laughing as our drama, The Ryanair Generation, was a satirical look at "low-cost" airlines like Irish owned Ryanair. MG has become the only school in North America to have a World Championship in male solos, female solos, ceili team, figure choreography team and now Dance Drama. Although the video of the drama doesn't do it the justice of the live performance, we are sharing it for all to enjoy.

  • TEACHING STAFF

Michael, Brendan, and Colleen Mullane along with Mary, Peggy, & John Godley, with Nora Fox, and Shannon Ryan

The teaching faculty at the Mullane Godley Academy is an international fusion of some of the most highly accomplished and decorated teachers in Irish dance today. We believe that one of our greatest assets is the diversity of the Mullane Godley teaching staff.

The Academy is proud to treat every MuGster equally ... this is not a goal, but a reality. Each dancer, whether Beginner, Recreational, or Competitive receives the same dedicated and energetic instruction from our international dedicated teaching staff. Each teacher brings a different perspective and approach and relies on their own strengths to further develop the abilities and talents of the dancers. Through the talents of the teaching staff and dancers, the Mullane Godley Academy is poised for the future.
